The Lord asks me to make my offerings with a willing heart

The Lord asks me to make my offerings with a willing heart

The Lord asks me to make my offerings with a willing heart

 Exodus 35:4-5, 20-29

[W]hatever our offering—in the Lord’s economy we always come out ahead...Our service is a choice, an offering to God, and a blessing... when we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are in fact in the service of our God. It really isn’t where we serve but how that matters to the Lord… Every calling, whatever it may be, is “His business” when embraced with a humble and willing heart and a desire to lift and comfort His children and share His good news. We are not merely filling an assignment when we respond to an inspired call but joining the Saviour of the world in His infinite, redeeming work. He needs you, and He needs me.

Exodus 36:1-7

In our life’s journey to return to and become more like our Father, we are not left alone. God has given us the necessary gifts to help us in our mortal experience. “Spiritual gifts are blessings or abilities given by God to His children.” These gifts help us navigate our lives toward eternal goals… What a comfort it is to know that we are not alone sailing uncharted waters as we go through life’s experiences… Using the spiritual gifts we have been given is paramount in order to remain on the right course.

Exodus 39:30

Exodus 40:1-11

Inscribed on the front of each temple is a solemn statement: “Holiness to the Lord.” These inspired words are a clear invitation that when we enter the Lord’s house, we embark on a sacred journey of learning to become higher and holier disciples of Christ

…The house of the Lord is where we can be transformed in higher and holier ways. So, when we walk out of the temple, transformed by our hope in the promises of the covenants, armed with power from on high, we take the temple with us into our homes and lives. I assure you that having the spirit of the Lord’s house in us changes us, completely.

Temple ordinances were given anciently

Exodus 40:12-16

Temple ordinances and covenants are ancient. The Lord instructed Adam and Eve to pray, make covenants, and offer sacrifices. Indeed, “whenever the Lord has had a people on the earth who will obey His word, they have been commanded to build temples.”...In every age, the temple has underscored the precious truth that those who make covenants with God and keep them are children of the covenant....we can make the same covenants with God that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob made. And we can receive the same blessings! Temples have been part of this dispensation from its earliest days.

 Exodus 40:17-34

The Lord has always asked His people to build temples. The Lord commanded Moses: “Let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.” The portable tabernacle they built served as the central place of Israel’s worship during their pilgrimage to the promised land. Its pattern and structure were revealed by the Lord to Moses. It was to be the Lord’s holy house.. During His earthly ministry, the Lord regarded the temple as a sacred place and taught reverence for it… temples are sacred, holy places. They are a source of spiritual power and strength. They are a place of revelation. They are the house of the Lord.

Leviticus 1:1-4

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born and died in unique circumstances…He gave His Apostles authority and power to do miracles “and greater works” than those He performed, but He never delegated to them the privilege of forgiving sins...That right belonged only to Him because He is the Son of God and because He would pay for those sins with His Atonement...We are indebted to Him and to our Heavenly Father because His sacrifice blessed everyone, from Adam, the first, to the last of all human beings.
