This Week's Featured Videos

We can choose to trust God during our trials

Because of Jesus Christ, I will live again after I die

Good friends uplift and encourage each other

Job 2:4-10

When your faith, your family, or your future are challenged—when you wonder why life is so hard when you are doing your best to live the gospel—remember that the Lord told us to expect troubles. Troubles are part of the plan and do not mean you’ve been abandoned; they are part of what it means to be His… As disciples of Jesus Christ, we understand that faith in Him requires action—especially in hard times…I try to remember that I chose to follow Christ before I came to earth and that challenges to my faith, my health, and my endurance are all part of the reason I’m here... And until the day that the everyday wounds of mortality are healed, I will wait upon the Lord and trust Him—His timing, His wisdom, His plan.

Job 2:11-13

Job 19:13-22

I see the Savior’s declaration “ye are my friends” as a clarion call to build higher and holier relationships among all of God’s children “that we may be one.” We do this as we come together seeking both opportunities to unite and a sense of belonging for all…we need each other and together we need Him. Our unique gifts and talents that differentiate us in a secular world unite us in a sacred space. The Savior has called upon us to help one another, lift one another, and edify each other... As President Russell M. Nelson has taught: “The gospel net is the largest net in the world. God has invited all to come unto Him. … There is room for everyone.”

Because of Jesus Christ, I will live again after I die

Because of Jesus Christ, I will live again after I die

Because of Jesus Christ, I will live again after I die

Job 14:7-14

Our Heavenly Father did not launch us on our eternal voyage without providing the means whereby we could receive from Him guidance to ensure our safe return…Every thoughtful person has asked himself the question best phrased by Job of old: “If a man die, shall he live again?” Try as we might to put the question out of our thoughts, it always returns...But what of an existence beyond death? Is death the end of all?... My brothers and sisters, we know that death is not the end...As the result of Christ’s victory over the grave, we shall all be resurrected.

Jesus Christ is my Redeemer.

God can help us view our trials with an eternal perspective

Because of Jesus Christ, I will live again after I die

Job 19:23-27

The Resurrection from the dead is the reassuring personal pillar of our faith. It adds meaning to our doctrine, motivation to our behavior, and hope for our future… It gives us the strength to endure sorrows, failures, and frustrations. Because each of us has an assured resurrection, we know that these mortal deficiencies and oppositions are only temporary… Our Savior and Redeemer endured incomprehensible suffering to become a sacrifice for the sins of all mortals who would repent...The magnificent and incomprehensible effect of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is based on God’s love for each of us...In modern revelation, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, declared that He “so loved the world that he gave his own life, that as many as would believe might become the sons of God”.

God can help us view our trials with an eternal perspective

God can help us view our trials with an eternal perspective

Job 23:3-11

Many have wondered why we must face difficult challenges…At times it may seem that our trials are focused on areas of our lives and parts of our souls with which we seem least able to cope. Since personal growth is an intended outcome of these challenges, it should come as no surprise that the trials can be very personal—almost laser guided to our particular needs or weaknesses.  And no one is exempt, especially not Saints striving to do what’s right. Some obedient Saints may ask, “Why me? I’m trying to be good! Why is the Lord allowing this to happen?” The furnace of affliction helps purify even the very best of Saints by burning away the dross in their lives and leaving behind pure gold. Even very rich ore needs refining to remove impurities.

Job 38:1-7

Job 42:1-6

The great plan of happiness is a wonderful manifestation of God’s love for us...Seeking after Him and calling upon Him will begin the process and provide space to build and strengthen our eternal relationships. It broadens our spiritual view and helps us focus on changing what we can control rather than on fears outside our control. Studying the life and ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ, will enable us to view these other concerns with an eternal perspective…because of the Savior’s sacrifice and ransom, I will no longer refer to my challenges as trials and tribulations but as my learning experiences…
